ACADEMIC

During my experience at the Edward R. Murrow

College of Communication, I developed academic works

that strengthened my skills in strategic communication.

I share with you some of my best projects:

In the Professional Multimedia Content Creation (COM 561) class, we learned how to use basic tools: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition and Premiere to develop strategic content related to a topic we preferred. For the course project, I decided to work with bullying due to I have a personal interest in promoting social campaigns, especially strategies that can assist the most vulnerable.

As a first step, I created and designed an anti-bullying poster to remind victims of the power of positive words. Then, I designed the logo and name of the campaign which is “Not Alone.” To create awareness around the topic, I contacted a psychology specialist and edited a podcast about the characteristics of victims and bullies, and add some tips to prevent bullying.

Finally, I created a video to educate about bullying and provide other recommendations to face this problem that affects children and adolescents all over the world. I chose this project for my portfolio because it showcases my design and creative skills, as well as it presents my abilities of content creation and storytelling.
